Introduction from the Chairman

"In the last year, 352 young
people have benefited from
our Community Mentoring, Leadership Programme and Outreach and Employability training."
"I would like to say a heartfelt thank you to the supporters, donors and sponsors who make our valuable work possible. Our trainees are grateful for the help we provide, and our staff and Trustees are delighted to be making a useful contribution to developing skills and citizenship among our young people. "

About PRESET

Our mission is to provide opportunities for disadvantaged young people, particularly those from the ethnic minorities living in the inner cities, to fulfil their educational potential and to provide the guidance that will help them to obtain meaningful and sustainable employment.

PRESET's task is to help address some of the problems faced by young people in our urban areas. Our aim is to work as an enabling body in partnership with others to identify gaps in provision and support high quality projects which help individuals to access education and develop employment skills.

Operational since early 1997, PRESET has already embarked on a mentoring scheme for social housing tenants and launched a bursary programme which will provide funds for leadership skills training. This is only the beginning. We have plans to extend both these projects as well as developing community education initiatives and housing and employment projects.
